Lazy Kinda Free is the story of Zora: a Black graduate student who struggles with severe depression and anxiety. After losing her mother at a very young age, Zora spends the majority of her life excelling in school and living up to her father’s expectations, all while being the primary caregiver for her two younger sisters, Tillie and Davia. When her head becomes so heavy that she is unable to leave her room, Tillie and Davia must learn how to be responsible for Zora instead.
