We are ecstatic to see that the world premiere of Verite, a new play by 2014 resident playwright Nick Jones, has started rehearsals at Lincoln Center’s LCT3!

After presenting an earlier draft of this bold work as part of our On The Radar reading series last year, Nick’s work was snatched up and now has Anna Camp (True Blood, Pitch Perfect) attached to star.

Nick has become a fast friend of ours through his residency at the Chance and his sharing of thoughts and ideas with our company and patrons. We are thrilled to see that rehearsals in New York have gotten off to a terrific start. The production process and its results should be even more splendid. Follow this link to see more photos from the first rehearsal, and read about the artists.

We wish Nick and the whole gang the best of luck for the new opening. Here’s to another great year, Mr. Jones!!

About the show: Jo, a stay-at-home mom and struggling writer, is offered an unusual deal for her memoir: she has to make her life exciting enough to publish. As mysterious and even sinister events start happening to her, Jo has to decide how far she is willing to go to make her life into art, and whether it’s all coincidence or if someone is determined to make sure her memoir is a best-seller at any cost.
