If you won $96,000 from the lottery, what would you do with it?
If I won $96,000 from the lottery, I would pay off our student loans and buy a house. Hands down!

Who’s someone in your life that’s not blood related, but who you consider to be family?
The people in my life that are not blood related, but the people I consider family are: The Raymond’s.  My husband grew up with the son of the family (Chase), singing in the All American Boys Chorus. They have spent almost every holiday and special occasion together since they were about 10 years old. When we started dating, I was brought into this wonderful family and could not imagine our lives without them. I am so grateful for all that this amazing family has done for us.

What was your neighborhood like when you were growing up? What’s that neighborhood like now?
Growing up in South Africa is not the safest place in the world. All the places I lived and my family continue to live are considered “critical” crime threat posts. You can expect anything from muggings, ATM scams, car jackings and home invasions at any time. In fact, if they happen, people are not even shocked by it. It’s the way of life. Now I live in Irvine, the safest ranked city in the U.S.  Who would have ever imagined?

Where do you call “home”?
Home is wherever my family is. My husband gets confused about what “home” I am talking about, as I always refer to our house, my parent’s house and his parent’s houses as “home”.

Tell me about someone in your life that made sacrifices for you to succeed.
Both of my parents sacrificed everything they had for our family to move from South Africa to the U.S., in hopes of a better future for me and my brother. I would dare say that both of us are successful due to their efforts. We are extremely appreciative of everything our parents and family did for us (and continue to do for us).

What was your first job in theater?
My first paid job in theater was when I was in high school. I was as a stage manager for a Dance Company’s Recital and then many Nutcrackers to come.
