You play multiple characters in multiple historical eras. If you could choose a specific time in history to be born, when would you choose?
I’ve always been into the magic and romance of Medieval Times. It was my favorite thing to study in school. I’m really into the fairy tales of that time….I suppose I’m a Disney kid.

Should Christians or non-Christians come see this play?
Everyone should come see this play. It’s got religious aspects to it, but that’s not what it’s about.  It’s more about the community that puts on the play and their struggles for identity, love and to be accepted. And I think everyone can identify with these themes.

This play shifts from funny to emotional to funny again on a dime. How do you make those shifts?
I’m not sure yet. All I can say is that you just need to be very present and honest and willing to play.

This play explores how you are perceived based on your looks versus who you really are.  Can you personally relate to this theme?
Hmmm that’s a good question.  I don’t know. I think I look like who I am.  I got some scrapes and bruises cuz I’m clumsy. I’ve got some white in my hair from stressing so much.  I got lines around my mouth cuz I laugh a lot. I’ve got wrinkles on my forehead cuz I’m often confused, yeah that’s all pretty accurate .

If you met your character on the street, would you have a beer together? If not, which character would you share a pint with?
Sure, I’d grab a beer with the Village Idiot. I think she is a fascinating character, plus we’d get into all sorts of shenanigans together. Unfortunately we’d also probably end up in jail, but oh the stories we would have.

Do you have a favorite moment in the play?
My favorite moment of the play is in the 3rd act. We see a lil girl trying to erase the memories of the war from her dad’s head in the sweetest most innocent way. It’s quite touching.

What do you connect to in this story?
I would have to say the chaos. Haha sometimes my life is a bit crazy with so many things being thrown at me and ya feel like nothing ever really goes the way you want it to.  But it keeps things exciting!!!!

How do you prepare to work on a project like this?
Lots and lots of research.  I try so hard to really get into the mind of these characters. I keep a journal, I write so much nonsense I sometimes don’t even understand it, which is good I suppose for The Village Idiot.

What was your first job in theater?
I was in the 5th grade and my first show was Country Mouse City Mouse. My first show was a musical of all things…
