‘Fancy Nancy’ makes her TV debut as the popular children’s books are adapted into a new animated series on Disney Junior
It’s the morning after the premiere for “Fancy Nancy,” a new Disney Junior TV series based on the popular series of children’s books, and Robin Preiss Glasser, the illustrator of “Fancy Nancy,” says she’s still floating on the excitement of finally watching the characters she and writer Jane O’Connor created leap from page to screen.
“I can’t get my mind around this,” Glasser says by phone from her home in San Juan Capistrano. “It’s a dream I never dared to dream, to have my two-dimensional squiggly little drawings turned into a Disney TV series. I’m a little bit verklempt.”
