On the Fyda-Mar Stage…
What kind of tango partner are you looking for — one that will glide with you above all of life’s messiness, or someone who will stay with you on the ground? It’s only their first date, but Ramona and Khalil’s time is already running out. Ramona has cancer. Khalil is selling his identity to a corporation. Typical relationship stuff. While they both seem set to vanish off this earth, they unexpectedly find themselves preparing to give love one more try. This warm, witty, and wise romantic comedy asserts that even in the potentially hazardous, high stakes game of love and relationships… the risk is worth it if it means finding your favorite dancing companion.
Recommendation: Ages 13 and above. Contains adult language.

“GORGEOUS! Sheila Callaghan writes some of the most engaging dialogue I have heard in a long time, capturing the rhythms of contemporary speech and the quirks of character. And then it suddenly pivots with an observation or an insight that Makes you gasp in its honesty and beauty.” — Hartford Courant
“Elevada rewards its audience on many levels, chief among them its knack for affirming love and life without pandering or sugarcoating. The play hasn’t a dishonest bone in its body.” — New Haven Register
“A smart modern romantic comedy…There are genuine emotions being revealed here, in genuinely revelatory ways. Its characters are intelligent and driven, and interestingly hampered by emotional issues or (in one case) addictive behavior…. Yes, Elevada elevates.” — New Haven Theater Jerk

I thought the actors were great. I loved the diversity and unique problems the characters faced.
Absolutely outstanding play and performances. One of my favorites of the past 4 seasons and emotionally very moving.
I think your sets are always amazing!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this show. My expectations were not high; but once again Chance surprised us with a witty conversation-starting performance. The casting was all around perfect! Bravo!
We find the performances well done and worth attending. Cast members always come across with professionalism. We enjoy the arts as a get away experience.
I brought my 80 and 85 year old parents to the show. This was their first time to Chance theater (my second. I saw SEMINAR awhile ago and I absolutely LOVED IT). I wasn’t sure how they would react but they absolutely really enjoyed the show. And we really loved the Directors Talk Pre-show: SO interesting. And we wanted to stay for the after show Q&A but ran out of time…We will be back!!
It is amazing how the Chance can take a small area, an almost bare stage, four actors and put on a funny mesmerizing performance. The acting was incredible. Some of the best I’ve seen at the Chance. The creative staging was AMAZING! Hats off to the director.
Always interesting and rewarding.Everything was outstanding.
I first went to this theatre on a whim after being cancelled on for another show by a family member. And I’ve been coming back as much as I could sense. This theatre is a little far from where I live, but I always love seeing a show here when I can. This is one of my favorite local theatres.
