Artist Profile
Yunga is so excited to make her debut at Chance Theater. She is ecstatic to play one of her favorite roles in her time favorite production. After watching her Uncle in the original cast of Ragtime, she has watched at least 7 other family members take part in this incredible show in theaters around the country. She herself has played the role of Sarah’s Friend over 15 years ago. Currently, Yunga directs musicals at an independent school in Newport Beach and she hopes to bring back some great stories of real-world theater experience to her 8th graders. As a director, she finds it important to always “check in” with the performing and creative side. She feels that this story is a message that we all need to hear time and time again, and it is just as relevant today as it was when the show debuted.
