Artist Profile
Anne of Green Gables marks Sherry’s eleventh season of participation in our holiday literary series. Previous personifications at the Chance Theater include Emma the Musical (the speechless Bates), Little Women – the Musical (Aunt March/Mrs. Kirk), Anne of Green Gables (Rachel Lynde/Aunt Josephine), Secret Garden (Mrs. Medlock), Into the Woods (Jack’s Mother/Cinderella’s Stepmother), Sunday in the Park with George (Old Lady/Harriet Pawling), as well as multiple roles in our inaugural TYA, Alice in Wonderland. She was also involved in the OTR readings of two of Lauren Yee’s new works in progress. Sherry is an enthusiastic supporter of our Veteran’s Initiative in the Arts programs. She is also an avid participant with SeaCliff Tee It Up For the Troops, an organization that in the last seven years has raised and donated over a million and a half dollars to groups who directly assist our wounded veterans. A retired paralegal, Sherry is delighted to be teaching theater arts classes to elementary and middle school children. Her most cherished role will forever be grandma to (almost) 15–year-old Lindsey, who shares her passion for the theater.
