Rachel will be returning as a soloist with the Pacific Symphony at the Segerstrom Concert Hall in October 2023, where she will reprise her role as La Catrina Calavera in a family concert series event. StageSceneLA awarded her the 2019 recognition of “Musical Theater Star Of The Year,” and Chance Theater awarded her a Chancie Award for “Best Supporting Actor In A Musical.” Previous roles at Chance Theater include Mother in Ragtime, The Witch in Big Fish, Mrs. Clancy in Fancy Nancy, The Musical, Ladybug in James and the Giant Peach, Laura in the OTR workshop of Ted Malawer’s Anatomy of Love, Marmee in Little Women – The Broadway Musical, Gabi in the staged reading of L.A. Vida, Miss Stacey/Woman 2 in Anne of Green Gables, as well as Camila Rosario in the Ovation Recommended production of In The Heights. Outside of Chance Theater, Rachel played the role of Diana in the hit musical, Next To Normal with The Wayward Artist Theater Company, in the staged reading of Policarpa at Grand Central Arts Center, and previously at San Diego Repertory Theater in the staged reading of Diana Burbano’s Fabulous Monsters. Rachel received her MFA in Musical Theater Performance from the Chicago College of the Performing Arts, and her B.A. from California Lutheran University. Favorite Chicago theater credits include a 6-month run in Latinologues, Jeanie in Hair, and Martirio in The House of Bernarda Alba.
