Michael is excited to be working with the TACFA and Chance Theater in this production of West Side Story. Currently a resident of Long Beach, he has been acting for over 45 years, having appeared on stages from Northern California’s historic gold country to the Chicagoland area and around Southern California. Recently seen as Wilbur Turnblad in the Palos Verdes Performing Arts production of Hairspray, Michael has also appeared in such notable roles as Herr Schultz in Cabaret, Feldzieg in The Drowsy Chaperone, King Henry in The Lion in Winter, King Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar, and twice in one of his favorite roles as Major General Stanley in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance. Michael also appeared in the title role in the Los Angeles area premiere of The Giver at the La Mirada Performing Arts Center. When not on stage, Michael enjoys baking goodies for his family and friends.
