Maya Grace Fischbein was born on June 19, 2006 in Newport Beach, CA. Maya has been performing and playing the piano since the age of 3. At the age of 8, Maya began performing in local and regional theaters for Les Miserables, Aladdin and The Sound of Music. When she turned 9 she moved to New York and joined the Broadway cast of Fun Home as the swing for all three children in the show. She made her Broadway debut as Small Alison (tony nominated best actress role) in May 2016. After Fun Home‘s final performance on Broadway, Maya returned home to Southern California. She was quickly cast in a musical short film called “Smile A Musical” where she played the lead character Hazel.
