Artist Profile
Matthew Katterhagen received his B.A. in playwriting and (unofficially) directing from California State University, Fullerton. Directing credits include works with Advent Lutheran’s Children’s Music Theatre, the world premiere of Disbelief, and scenes from such shows as The Baltimore Waltz, The Glass Menagerie, and Fun Home. Past playwriting credits include The Fetal Position, Forget-Me-Not, and Blood of the Land with CSUF’s Studio Series. He is thrilled to be making his Chance Theatre debut as assistant director for A Wrinkle in Time.
Katterhagen has additionally received the 2018 KCACTF award for best original one-act for Ellis: An Immigrant’s Tale, and placed as a finalist in KCACTF’s 2019 directing initiative for The Baltimore Waltz.
