Artist Profile
Marisa Melideo is a Los Angeles native who did her B.A. in Scenography at Hampshire College in Massachusetts, where she served on Hampshire’s Theater Board and produced collaborative theater and film projects focusing on queer female narratives. After graduating, she was admitted as a M.F.A. candidate with an emphasis in costume design at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film, and Television. In 2018 Marisa designed a production of Mike Poulton’s version of Schiller’s Mary Stuart for Marya Mazor at UCLA’s Little Theater. This March of 2019 Marisa designed the costumes for the premier of Mathew Puckett’s new musical Rebel Genius (also at UCLA’s Little Theater), directed by Brian Kite. She is extremely excited to have another opportunity to collaborate with Marya on a fabulous script and with the good people at Chance Theater. Marisa will be graduating from UCLA in June of 2019.
