Artist Profile
Lola James Kelly (they/them) is a writer, performer, director, and graduate of LMU and RADA/King’s College. They recently co-wrote and directed the critically acclaimed immersive musical, Crimson Cabaret. They performed in and later directed the bespoke immersive show YOU, created a one-on-one experience, the Secret Space, for Think Tank Gallery/Santa Monica Pier, and created a public immersive dance piece, the Canary Skip in London. Directing credits: The Witnessing for Unmarked Door at Hollywood Fringe, The Thing at Forrest Fringe, Edinburgh, Waiting for the End of the World at Anatomy Room Theatre, London and country musical workshop 100 Heartbreaks by Joanna Garner at the Chance. Theatre performance credits include: Crime and Punishment (the Edgemar), Octavio Solis’ Hole in the Sky (Circle X), Sheila Callaghan’s Elevada (Chance Theater), Will Eno’s Middletown (Chance Theater), ACTC’s Hamlet, Lady (ATA NY), Cattywampus (SCR), Life Without Parole (Edgemar), and Circle Jerk (REDCAT). TV/FILM credits include: Blackish, The Fosters, Cassidy Red, The Grinder, and Stoneheart.
