Artist Profile

Kimberly is a violinist from Mission Viejo, California. She received her Bachelor of Music degree with an emphasis in Violin Performance from Chapman University, where she graduated cum laude and was awarded the Temianka Violin Scholarship. She studied the Galamian violin method under William Fitzpatrick, a student of Juilliard Professor Dorothy DeLay and first violinist of the New York String Quartet. Since she began playing in 2005, Kimberly has performed in string quartets, orchestras, operas, musicals, and film scores. She has diverse experience in pop and rock music, and has performed in venues such as the Viper Room, the House of Blues, Chance Theater, and the Yost Theater. She teaches violin and viola at WePlayMusic Academy in Irvine, California. She has experience teaching students of a variety of ages, learning styles, and technical ability, and strives to help her students gain a deeper understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of music through the study of violin and viola playing.
