Jolynn Ibanez

Artist Profile

JoLynn is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. She studied theater at The University of Southern California. She also studied in Hollywood with Stella Adler, TVI and VanMar Academy. She has worked on many TV shows, movies and commercials. She has won three acting awards at various theaters. She most enjoyed playing Rosemary in Picnic, Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit, Mrs. Vaan Daan in Diary of Anne Frank, 9 characters in The Laramie Project, and Vera Claythorne in And Then There Were None. She was on the board of directors at Anaheim Community Theater where she directed, choreographed and starred in many productions. She is most proud of directing Some of My Best Friends which was named by the Orange County Register as one of the 10 best entertainments of the year. At the same theater, she performed with Will Farrell in a spoof of The Invisible Man and worked with an improv group that performed at The Comedy Store in Hollywood. She spent 8 years as the creative director of the theater department at a performing arts academy, where she directed Diary of Anne FrankSteel MagnoliasBelles and choreographed CabaretOliver! and Pajama Game.
