Jill Cary Martin appeared in many productions in and around the OC and LA, most recently as Eleanor in The Lion in Winter at the Attic Theater, Mrs. Bennet in Pride and Prejudice at Long Beach Playhouse, as Capulet in Alchemy’s Romeo and Juliet, and as Corryn in the Women Theatre Workshop production of Gidion’s Knot. Favorite roles include Molly in Molly Sweeney at the Chance, Elizabeth in The Crucible, Jennet in The Lady’s Not for Burning, and Maureen in The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Other Theaters: The Comedy of Errors and Hamlet for Shakespeare-by-the-Sea; Medea, Three Sisters, Heartbreak House, Talley’s Folly. She collected an OC Weekly Award for her work in Insurgo Theatre Movement’s Wuthering Heights. She has voice several characters for Earbud Theatre as well as directing productions of The Little Dog Laughed and Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead at Golden West College. She holds a Master’s in Theatre from Cal State University, Fullerton and is a graduate of South Coast Repertory’s Professional Conservatory.
