Jake Anthony (Music and Lyrics) works as a composer, vocal coach, and Music Director in the LA area. A proud graduate of the University of Michigan, he won the prestigious Brehm Prize in Choral Music there for his work Ozymandias, for solo baritone, chorus, and percussion ensemble. In 2004, his opera Mean High Tide (with librettist Georgia Handley) won the National Opera Association’s Dominic Argento Chamber Opera Competition and has been performed at Opera North and Lancaster Opera (UK) among others. In addition to Cheese, he has written four musicals: Now and Then a Hero (with Larry Todd Johnson), Wanting Miss Julie and The New York Society for the Suppression of Vice (with Patricia Zehentmayr), and Seagull Song.
