Artist Profile
J(They/Them), a native of Louisiana, is a LA based actor who’s been performing since given their first gospel cd (Kirk Franklin & Family – Whatcha Lookin’ 4) at the age of 5. Having been raised in the church, some of their musical influences include artists such as Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, and The Clark Sisters. After spending time studying and touring with the internationally known group The Young Americans, J began doing regional theatre projects in the OC/LA area of California. Some of these include The Wayward Artist, The Rubicon Theatre, and The Walt Disney Company. This is J’s first time telling stories within the Chance Theater space. They pray that there will many more stories in the future they will get to tell with this new found family.
