Eric Backus is a Southern California and Chicago-based composer and sound designer, thrilled to work with Chance Theater for the first time! Off-Broadway: Hollow/Wave (United Solo Festival), Churchill (New World Stages); Regional credits include productions at Goodman Theatre, Milwaukee Rep., Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Northern Stage, Steppenwolf, Writers Theatre, TheatreSquared, Northlight, Theatre SilCo, and The Rev. For his theatrical work in Chicago, Eric has been recognized with a Joseph Jefferson Award and numerous nominations for excellence in sound design and original music.
