ANDREA HEILMAN (LIGHTING DESIGNER) is a Los Angeles based educator and Designer (Scenic and Lighting). As an educator, Andrea seeks to engage with trauma-informed practices with student populations, bringing this work into the arts and theater practices specifically. She does keynotes for workshops for OISTAT Education Commission, USITT, and the Tbilisi Biennale International
Symposium. Some of her favorite designs include Cymbeline at California Lutheran University, where she is the head of Design and Production; The Brothers Size with Pillsbury House at the Guthrie Theatre; The Arsonists at The American University in Cairo; Agnes Under the Big Top with Mixed Blood; and Snow White at South Coast Rep.
