Artistic Administration Internship
Description:
Artistic Administration Intern reports directly to the Artistic Director (AD). Intern acts as a support to the AD in order to learn the various tasks that go into the administration and artistic vision of a non-profit theater.
You Will Learn:
- The many Roles an Artistic Director Plays
- The Connection between Artistic Choices and Business Management
- Season Selection Process
Duties May Include but Not Limited To:
- Play Readings as part of the Literary Committee
- Basic Administrative Skills and Clerical Tasks
- Note-taking and Observation of Designer Run-Throughs
- Note-taking and Observation During Production Meetings
- Calendar Management
- Clerical Tasks such as Copying, Scanning, and Organizing Materials
- Assist at Chance Theater special events, including Opening Nights
Specific Requirements:
- Theatre Major or Minor Preferred
- A Strong Interest in Live Theater
- Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Computer Competence (Word Processing, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, etc.)
- Ability to Collaborate, Analyze and Problem-Solve
- Strong Organizational Skills
