THE LARAMIE PROJECT, adapted from real-life interviews, is a cultural pulse-taking play that examines life in the town of Laramie, Wyoming, following the horrific murder of 21-year old gay college student, Matthew Shepard. This brutal crime brought worldwide attention to the violence and prejudice LGBT people face in contemporary society, and left a community shaken and struggling to understand itself.

In TEN YEARS LATER, we return to Laramie to find a town, and a country, dealing with the temptation to rewrite history in the name of moving on. This powerful epilogue examines the legacy of Matthew’s murder, and includes the return of several familiar Laramie citizens, as well as first-time interviews with Shepard’s murderers, and his mother, Judy Shepard.
