Artist Profile

Taylor is a music director, composer, actor, and teacher based in Long Beach. He graduated from UCI with a degree in drama where he studied voice and conducting from his mentor, Dr. Gary Busby. This is Taylor’s seventh production with the Chance having previously worked on Dogfight, Little Women, Triassic Parq, Secret Garden, and She Loves Me. He is very happy to be back and working with these wonderful people. Other shows include, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Bonnie and Clyde, Sweeney Todd, Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast and Spelling Bee. In 2013, he won the L.A. Ovation Award for Best Musical Direction for his work on this theater’s production of Triassic Parq. Taylor has composed scores for productions of Macbeth, Twelfth Night, and The Bacchae. He is perpetually working on an original musical, which he hopes will be finished soon. He would like to thank his family for all their love and support.
