Robyn Manion is a musical director and piano teacher based in Orange County. She is a resident artist at Chance Theater and considers herself incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to create art with such an amazing company. Robyn graduated from California State University, Fullerton with her Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts and an emphasis in Directing. While she was a student there, she worked on shows such as Violet, I Love You, Because, and the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical revue A Grand Night for Singing. After graduating, Robyn’s relationship with Chance Theater began, and she has since had the privilege of Musical Directing shows such as Rooms: A Rock Romance, West Side Story, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, In the Heights, Hairspray, Fancy Nancy, and most recently, the Ovation nominated show, Parade. Robyn’s work has also been heard at Chapman University, where she musical directed their production of Cabaret and a remount of Chance Theater’s award winning production, The Who’s Tommy. Outside of musical directing, Robyn’s career revolves mostly around children. She teaches piano full time to thirty-five wonderful students! Robyn recently took over as owner of Heavenly Voices Productions, a company that features two musical groups: The Nightengals, who provide vocal entertainment in the same vein as The Andrews Sisters, and The Christmas Belles, a caroling group that has been a holiday favorite in Orange County for over 25 years!
