Artist Profile
Jeff Polunas recently worked as sound designer for Seminar at Chance Theater. He received his M.F.A. in Sound Design at UC Irvine and is currently the Production Sound Engineer at CSU Fullerton. Jeff has designed over 100 productions in theatre and dance during his career. Selected credits include: Venus in Fur, Ivy & Bean, Anastasia Krupnik, Between Us Chickens (South Coast Repertory), Passion Play (the Chance), The Full Monty, Peter Pan, The Wedding Singer, The Producers (Summer Repertory Theatre), Company, Much Ado About Nothing, The Importance of Being Earnest (PCPA Theaterfest), Route 66, You Never Can Tell, Pump Boys and Dinettes (Moonlight Stage). Jeff also designed at the following universities: UC Irvine, USC, UC Riverside, CSU Northridge, San Diego State, CSU Long Beach, Saddleback College, Pomona College and MiraCosta College. He was part of the design team that received the Scenie for Best Production Design (Larger Theater) for his work on Passion Play at the Chance and has been nominated four times for the KC/ACTF Sound Design Award.
