Congratulations to our 2013 Resident Plawright Marshall Pailet and A.D. Penedo (also writers of last season’s Loch Ness, a new musical), as well as the entire cast and creative team of Who’s Your Baghdaddy, Or How I Started The Iraq War! Today they were nominated for an Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Musical for their Off-Broadway production last year. So excited to see one of our own be recognized for his immense talent!
Back in 2013, the script received a staged singing as part of our On The Radar new works series, and went on to a very successful New York run where it was a New York Times Critic’s Pick. The production was hailed as “an important, cunning, rock-solid musical comedy” and an “exceptionally executed intellectual comedy.”
